Happy New Year and welcome to 2011 and my new blog for this year.
My name is Joan Cobb. I’m not a professional cook by any stretch and I border on not liking to be in the kitchen at all. I have cooked for my family for almost 40 years and I want to do something that makes cooking more fun for me and not just a daily chore. I want to also share in the fruits (no pun) of my “cooking” labor.
As most of you know last year I had a blog called “What I Feed My Husband”. Everyday I posted the meal I made for my husband Steve or when I was traveling what meal I had. It was quite a commitment but I managed to open my computer every night and post something. I’m proud of myself for that.
This year I want to continue to have a blog involving “food” that will be more fun for me and not as demanding. This idea came about when my son Seth saw that I had baked some baklava and said I should send him some…. light bulb goes off…. new project and new blog is born. I’m going to make all kinds of things and then send gift boxes to my family and friends. My youngest daughter Emily designed a very nice logo for my blog and my labels. So if you subscribe to my blog you’ll know when I’ve posted something. Check in, leave a comment and maybe just maybe you’ll be one of the lucky (or unlucky) ones who will get a sample of the goodies I make.
Wish me luck….
